Privacy Policy

What we collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the blog. Here is the complete list:

• Newsletter signup: Your email address, a Cloudflare Turnstile challenge token (to prevent abuse), and your IP address (logged by Cloudflare during the challenge).
• Post ratings: The post you rated, an anonymous first-party cookie (rater_id) used to deduplicate votes, and your score (1–5). No email or personal identifier is collected.

That is it. We do not collect anything else.

What we do not collect

• No analytics or page-view tracking of any kind.
• No tracking pixels.
• No third-party advertising cookies.
• No message bodies — our contact form has not shipped yet, so there is nothing to collect.

Email (newsletter)

The newsletter uses a double opt-in flow:

1. You enter your email and solve a Cloudflare Turnstile challenge.
2. We store your email and a confirmation token in our database, then send a confirmation email via Resend.
3. You click the confirmation link to verify your address.
4. After confirmation, you receive a welcome email.

The confirmation token expires after 24 hours. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. We never share, sell, or rent the email list.

How long we keep your data

• Newsletter emails: Until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Post ratings: Indefinitely, until you request deletion.
• Confirmation tokens: Expire after 24 hours.

Third-party processors

The following services process data on our behalf:

• Neon Postgres — database hosting (US/EU). Privacy policy
• Upstash Redis — rate-limiting cache (US). Privacy policy
• Resend — transactional email delivery. Privacy policy
• Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection. Privacy policy
• Vercel — web hosting. Privacy policy
• Render — API hosting. Privacy policy
• Sanity.io — content management (US/EU). Privacy policy

Your rights

You can email founders@devigner.space to:

• Request a copy of your data (export).
• Request deletion of your data.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.

We will respond within 30 days.

Analytics policy

We do not run analytics today. If we add analytics in the future (for example, Plausible, Umami, or PostHog), we will update this page first and link it from the newsletter form before enabling any tracking. Any analytics we deploy will comply with our analytics policy SOP.

Affiliate and sponsored content

We do not publish sponsored content or affiliate links today. If that changes, we will disclose it at the top of the affected article and on this page.

Cookies

We use two first-party cookies:

• Cloudflare Turnstile — a security cookie set by the Turnstile challenge widget (essential, anti-abuse).
• rater_id — a first-party cookie used to deduplicate post ratings.

We do not set tracking or advertising cookies. Because of this, no consent banner is needed.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. Do not submit an email address if you are under 13.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be announced via the newsletter and the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.
